Headed out to Long Lake today to try my luck at catching some fall bass. 1st time fishing this lake and a 1-1/2 hour drive but I thought I would give it a shot after reading the report and seeing the monster Scott Stacey caught. Got on the water about 45 min. before light and started working the east shoreline with a top water plug. "My favorite kind of fishin. " Caught 2 LMB between 8-9:00 a/m each weighed in just over 1lb. At 10:00 a/m I was working the west shoreline in about 5 ft. of water and had a trout style Rapala tied on and this bad boy hit it about 10 feet away from the boat. I got to watch it come up, take the lure and try to make a run for it. Pretty cool!! It weighed in at 3lb 2oz. Took a couple of pics and released it to grow a little more. Fished the shoreline for a couple more hours...nothin. This time of year is pretty hit and miss when it comes to LMB so I feel like I had a decent day. Besides it is BASS FISHIN after all!!! Just as I was leaving I ran into Scott Stacey and shot the bull with him for a bit. Good to meet ya bud and maybe we will see you again.

Very nice largemouth for this time of the year TC. I live only a stones throw from the lake and usually only fish it during the very early spring. Did ya check for a WDFW tag in the 3 pounder. I hooked a 5 pounder there last summer with a tag. Sent the info to the Wildlife Dept. It was the 2nd tagged bass I've caught there. Another great largemouth lake in this area is Kitsap Lake. I caught a 7-10 there a few years ago. tight lines - BJ

Nice Fish Trimcat!! I just got back from fishing and I struck out all weekend I did not even catch a Trout, thats rare for that lake. I kept fishing until after dark after I saw you at the lake and then tried to hit the bass for their nightly dinner time and I got one nice hit but did not get the hook set, what a tease after ten hours of fishing. I was out again tonight and did not even get a bite. I saw three weird looking fish swimming around with their heads out of the water, I dont know if they were Catfish or what? I was getting so desperate to catch a fish I even tried to chase them down and net them!!Get a hold of me if you are ever in town and would like to do some fishing.

scott is a great guy i went out with him a couple weeks ago. its getting a bit harder to track them down with the vegetation dying and the temps dropping a bit. i went there a week or so ago and got skunked like no other. keep it up thought because they are out there
