Bottom Fishing From Shore

Went to the Ship Canal this morning around 8:30AM. I was there for one whole hour, nothing, not even a bite. It's been like this for over a week now. In the good days, I can land a few nice bass around 9 or 10 inches, up to 12". But in the past couple of weeks or so, it's sloooooow. Not even a bite. There is a little park at the end of the 3rd Ave., I usually spend an hour there after dropping off my son at his school to avoid the traffic going back to the Eastside. I get a cup of coffee and a hotdog from the near-by 7-11 and the fishing is usually good. But recently it's been bad. I'm now thinking about where else can I go tomorrow morning!!?? Does anybody have any idea? Any place around Queen Ann area?

There's a new park on the very south end of Lake Union.

I have fished and caught on the dock at the little park just in front of the pea patch on Fairview Avenue East.

"There's a new park on the very south end of Lake Union."

Do you mean "Lake Union Park", where Kenmore Air docks their water planes? I fished there 4 or 5 times during the day, nada. A guy told me he caught a catfish there. But other than that, so far I've had no luck there.

"pea patch on Fairview Avs. E"? Where is that?

I tried the little dock at the pea patch last Sunday and the milfoil has gotten so high that you get a fist full of it on every toss. Sorry, next spring maybe.
