Well I wouldn't let this storm keep me home today so I went to St. Clair. Water surface temp was 59. Between 7 and 9 a.m. wasn't actually too bad. But once the wind and rain really kicked in it was tuff going. Caught several dinks in 15-20ft. of water. Only got bites from the d-shot rig fishing real slow. Nothing worth bragging or taking a picture of but good to get something when mother nature challenges me. I was the only boat out this morning. Bank fisherman from the boat launch were catching trout and bluegill. Left at 11to go to work. Frogg toggs raingear gets five starts today!
Went to st. clair a couple days ago as well for about two hours and caught a few biggest being about 2 lbs. Had a nice 4-5 pounder follow one of the fish I caught to the boat, flipped the hooked one in the boat, dropped it and grabbed the other rod quickly but never got the biggun to bite. Successful bait that day was a t-rigged twin tail beaver grub in green. Tight Lines everyone!
