Great morning on Whatcom for me. Sorry darksiders, five stars but no bass!! I was targeting smallies from the get go, trolling and casting deep diving perch and blue colored rap's. 8-30 ft, nothing. Surface water was 63*, wind was calm. Overcast at 10 am, Drizzle at 11:30 am.
Ended up bringing the DR and one Koke setup just in case. Well, it paid off. Landed five keeper kokanee and two C&R cutties from 11:30am-1:00 pm. Trolled a 4lb cannonball at 42 ft. on DR. 2.7 mph. 000 flasher (les davis, chrome 4.5") with 5 ft 4lb leader. Wee dick nite I won from the WL picnic, probably donated by WCCT. Thanks WL and WCCT !!

RwR, any size tho those Kokes you caught? The best I could muster out of that lake was about 10" - 11".

Nice job Rollin with Rolland. Now that is a great day, minus the bass of coarse. Way to be diverse with your species.

What part of the Lake were you fishing? The smallmouth action has died off for me out there. I want to try for some of those kokes before the season ends on the lake.

Not good to hear. I have had my heart set on going to Whatcom before the end of October, tomorrow my be my only chance? Hmm, I guess I will have to keep Terrell as a back up plan?

Thanks for the report, that sure helps!

Thanks guys.

Yeah G-man, the kokanee were all about 10.5". Nice fat little chunky fish though...two of them had eggs in them, so now I got some fresh river bait as well !! I actually went off your report a bit G-man, so thanks!!

SWJ- I was at the south end of the northern bowl. PM me for a more exact location.

Some smallies would have been nice....I guess there is always today!!

Thanks Rollin--you gave me enough information to work with. I have a depth finder and a map. I appreciate the help.

Plus, I don't know how to "PM" you.
