Hey everybody. I'm new to the forum but have really appreciated all the wonderful reports people put up here. Thanks.
I was drifting in my little 12' aluminum just south of Sand Point today (actually just past the end of my dock) and jigging for some perch. My buddy and I caught a few. He also got in the water with his wetsuit and video camera and got some underwater action shots of me battling tiny perch. We were just using Gulp! nightcrawlers which I haven't used much, but actually seem to work alright. Has anyone had any experience with these? Anyway, while the fishing I was doing wasn't much fun I happened to see some trollers land a decent fish just south of Sand Point. I have to imagine it was a coho by the size of it. I didn't get a great look so it could have been a cutt or something else. It surprised me to see them go for the net considering the fairly poor coho reports I've heard. If you happen to be the person who landed that fish, good work!
I just moved back to the area and really want to try my hand at those big LW cutts I've heard so much about. Does anyone do any good around Sand Point? It's basically my back yard, although I'm definitely willing to run a ways. I've picked up a bunch of tips from the reports/forums but if anyone has any specific advice for those big cutts I'd love the help. I hope to see you all out there. My dock is the third south of Magnuson park. I always see a bunch of bass guys out there so give me a wave if you happen to be casting near the dock.
