It was a beautiful fall day to be out on Banks Lake. We were fearful as we arrived around 8 am and drove past the end by coulee city. The wind was a howlin!!! But, by the time we reached Steamboat Rock Park and joined our friends, it was calm and gorgeous. We were in the water around 10 am and fished until about 6pm with a lunch break around 1pm. We didn't have a lot of luck, but I hooked about a two lb. Largemouth and a few perch, one of which was large enough to say, "Fish On!" Oh well, the weather made up for it as well as the scenery and company. We did pick up a straggler, Merle, around 4pm, and he outfished us all. He caught a bass, bluegill, perch and crappie. It's a good time to go camping!
