Convinced the kids that we would combine a kneeboard / fishing trip on Lake Washington. We headed out the east channel, and the water was so smooth. The kids both kneeboarded up to the first perch spot, but we found the fish had moved to start the fall schooling. Then we headed up the the next 3 spots, and they still hadn't made it out to the 50-60 ft depths yet. The kids started to whine a bit about fishing too long, so we headed to one more area that tends to hold a few good smallies. There we caught 7 fish, and missed at least 2 others. All good quality fish up to 3.6#. They were in 30 feet, and bit a panic minnow and a zoom meathead, both dropshot. The kids kneeboarded back to the boat launch, and had a great time....
