Went for a stroll with a friend at Newcastle Beach. Had a rod with me so decided to take a couple casts. My rod only had a Kastmaster on it from salmon fishing last weekend and I didn't have my tackle box with me since I wasn't real serious about fishing. Had a couple follows. I think they were smallies. But only caught this little squawfish.

Yeah, you should have beat that thing against the railings, then fed it to any nearby creatures.

He was hooked pretty bad. When I released him, he wasn't moving much. While I was leaving, I saw a bird swoop down around the area I released him and snatch a fish. Hopefully, it was that fish.

Ya when i catch a squawfish it is usually released under my foot so i can stomp on it before it gets released it back into the water
