Decided to try fishing for trout on Lake Washington this morning instead of going out to the Puget Sound for salmon. I started fishing the north side of the 520 bridge and had a few bits but no takers. Then as I was thinking I should start to head home for the day, I got a solid bit and the fish was on. Line screaming out of the reel, then doubles back and I am reeling to keep up. Started to get close to the boat and then makes a run for it again. After running more line out, it goes airborne. It was nice to see. When the fish finally tires out I am able to get it in the boat. I re-bait and try again and in less then 5 min I have another fish on and it goes the same as the first. Ended up with 3 before I have to head home. This is the first time I have tried this lake since I have moved down here. Will try to go again some time.

I was on the north side of 520 and down around 40ft to 45ft. I was using a wedding ring with a piece of worm attached hooked to a downrigger and a flasher set-up. Have you been fishing for Cutts. this year? Where do you normally find them? Do you fish parallel with the bridge or near the shore? And on the west side or the east side? This is the first time I fished this lake and saw a report from a week ago saying that someone used the same set-up and north or 520 so I gave it a try. Anyone who has fished the area and has some info. would be great.

Well I only have a 11ft Achilles Inflatable but the weather was great today. I first tried trolling along side 520 (100yds from the bridge as required) at 40ft but only saw a maybe 6 fish on the fish finder the whole length of the bridge and no bits. When I go to the east side I then followed the shore line north in about 60ft of water and that is when I started getting strikes. I was thinking of going Sat. morning too but will see.

Flasher - Kokanee Trolls with sliver blades and flasher tape on them

Wedding ring - green with a silver blade
