i met up with Gringo Pescador and went to Serene lake... the one out near Mulkilteo/128th ish. Got there about 6:00, nobody on the water. float tubed/pontoon boated. Started with my comfort baits, rattletraps silver and red. Within the first 30 minutes I played one about 8-9" and then i got one one that was quite a bit larger, at least for me.. LOL. maybe 1.5-2lbs. It was a nice fish in that it was running left and right across the water. Then it jumped, and out came the hook. Kind of weird... but sometimes you see a glimpse of something (fishing or not) and that image is what stays with you.
i feel like i saw the fish in the air and he had a large mouth that was open, and he shook his head.
maybe I've been sniffing powerbait.
Caught a few more ultra dinks, had various strikes. Also fished by trolling 4" green grub, and both white and green 2" grubs, strikes on these too. The lillie pads near the launch were the best for me. fished until i could no longer see to tie knots. nice night.

Quadradomus had the more productive evening/side of the lake than I did. Had lots of little ones hitting my presentations, but too small for hookups. All the talk around here about top waters, I went and picked up a frog and a mouse. Used the frog in the lilli pads as the sun went down and did get one 8" LM on about my 4th cast. What fun! I had a hit on my 3rd cast, but got excited and set the hook too soon. Tried the mouse after dark, and a couple swirls around it but no takers.
