Bassfanatic and I hit Coulon Launch @ 7:15 AM,..in Tourney mode,..all poles rigged for every type of Bassin we needed,..checked out a couple of new spots {2 us} and hit the water with our D-Shots,..5 minutes into it and BF has a Bronzie,..about a pound but we were looking for the Slot Bronzebacks,..got into way too many Perch no matter what we tried on our D-Shots,..went bigger,..went smaller,..different colors,..we were in deep water,..about 30-35 feet,..but the Perch God was hittin us real hard,..decided to start Crankin shallow waters where the weed lines start/end,..did ok but all the Smallies were still Dinks,..about 2 hrs in and we both start throwin our Big Swims,..still no hits,..back-n-forth from Swims,..Cranks and D-Shot,..feeling about done,..if it was Tourney time we would head to the weigh in "SKUNKED",..about 2:30 PM we hit 1 more spot before heading back to the launch,..see some structure and toss our Cranks,..as soon as BF'S Crank hits the water a 3rd time he noticed a big tree limb move considerably,..then "BAM FISH~ON",..BF fights this Biggun for a few minutes,..takes the Bass 2 the starboard then 2 the bow then 2 the port where he finally gave in and BF lipped him,..Bucketmouth went 5.2 LBS and a new PB for BF,..job well done! We were thinking Smallies the whole day then 2 our surprise the LMB ended up being the fish of the day! Had it been Tourney day BF might have won Big Fish Pot,..who knows,..either way our "Recon" turned out pretty good!

If it wasn't for that "last spot" before you head back I think a lot of fishermen would go home empty...
Nice BigMouth, Its good to see something other than SMB being caught again

Me and my buddy Lowvw are starting to figure the lake out now. Looks like you guys got the south end down. Its too bad we got such a dinky boat with little horsepower.

Mrbass,..the Perch where we were fishing were ranging anywhere from 8-10" and they hit really hard on the Jointed-Rap-Perch! Alot of Perch under I-90 East/West sides.
