The wife and I decided to check out lake Morton this afternoon. My only memory of this lake as a kid, was a bad case of swimmer's itch. I was hoping this trip would change that. We launched the boat around 3PM just as some guys were coming in with a stringer of trout, (caught by trolling wedding rings). The water was real clear and 74 degrees. the weather was clear and sunny. Fished around the docks and weed beds with spinner baits and crank baits. Caught this guy on the shady side of a dock. The wind made it real difficult to hold a position but it was enjoyable anyway. I'll definitely check this lake out again, preferably in the morning before the wind kicks up.
