Smallmouth Bass

Went out with Sparky again today. Slow day but good weather. Wind was very light all morning, got some rolllers from skiers of course though. Skiers were out and about by 6:30. Sparky caught a decent 2 pounder on a jig! Then he caught a couple dinks before finishing it off with this nice 3.2 pounder. I thought I would leave the day skunked but caught this nice 4.6 pounder right before it was time to leave. Caught too many yellow perch and rock bass. Ran into DanielT and chatted for a little while. All fish swam away after a few camera shots. Tight lines everyone!

Is there any place a guy with a one man pontoon boat can fish American for bass without being blown away and not too far to row? Thanks

WAcatcher, it would be task to fish from a pontoon boat on American! For the smallies you need to be in at least 15ft or deeper which is pretty far from the shoreline so huggin the bank in your pontoon wont do too much good. Your best bet is fishing to the left of the boat launch!
