The wife and I took an awesome camping trip to Salmon Meadows campground in the Okanagan National Forrest and decided to check out Tiffany Lake. This is a very pretty lake out in the middle of nowhere with beautiful views all around.
We started by throwing roostertails and panther martins with no luck and worked our way around the lake. I finally switched over to a silver kastmaster and had my first fish, which turned out to be a very healthy and pretty brook trout of about 10". After I ended up losing my one and only kastmaster I started using a brass Super Duper and started hooking up again. I caught another smaller brookie(pictured), a small cutthroat, and a very nice cutthroat of about 13" with striking coloration(got off the hook right before the wife took a picture).
It was right after the nicer cutthroat that we experienced the high light of the trip, a very large moose walked into the lake near the outlet. We stopped fishing and just watched this guy, eventually getting close enough to take some good pictures. This was an amazing trip that we will never forget and I can't say enough how great the area was. It was really nice to be in such a beautiful location with no one else for miles around.
