My buddy and I fish Lost lake pretty regular, usually once a week. So far, fishing has been really slow. First time we fished the lake was about a year ago, so we don't know what the lake is typically like in the summer months, but we've been catching very few for the last 5 weeks. We had fished the lake up until the snow kept us out last year and were pretty consistently catching 17 inchers right up to the end, so figured the lake should be pretty hot with hold overs and the new plants. So far we've only caught a few fish and what we've caught have been sluggish as heck. Very little fight and then when you get them in their completely worn out and pretty skinny. We typically fish from the bank, but have done some trolling. Got a couple off of wedding rings earlier in the summer, but nothing lately. Fished the cove on the opposite end from the boat launch a couple of times, picked up a couple, but skinny and sluggish. The last few weeks though, lucky to get a bite if fishing all day. Is this typical of Lost Lake at this time of year? Are the fish usually this wimpy and skinny when caught? We almost feel like something is wrong in this beautiful lake. Happy fishing to all!
