Went to Lake Washington under I-90 bridge after work today. Casted around and got about 4 perches. Stayed late and caught 2 catfishes. Pretty good day! And around 9:30pm, I was about to take off so I had my last cast....

Then the rod went down pretty hard, at first I thought its a big catfish and this guy was pretty heavy, too. While fighting it, I can see its pretty long.... lucky someone on the dock had a net. So we got the fish in and it was a 5.5lb, 18inch smallmouth bass!!

It was totally a surprise! I never thought I will catch small mouth bass this size. Not with nightcrawers???! This was definitely the biggest bass I ever had. Thanks for Corey, Nick, Don and Michael helping out in the dock to assist me getting this fish in.

Nice fish! You can catch just about anything using nightcrawlers. Keep it up!

nice fish, but not to burst your bubble, but the fish is probably 3-3.5lbs.

Listen to Chad, 18 inch smallie is about 3.5 lbs at best. GOOD fish, just far from 5 lbs. Haven't heard of much catfish from lake WA, but keep at it ;)
