Took off with a couple of buddies from Willow Bay resort at around 130pm to try some of the great Afternoon bite. Drove the boat about 15min up the lake and found some trees that looked like perfect shade for bass. So I put my white spinner on started casting toward the trees. Eventually I had one cast that hit the shore but I still reeled it in like it was a good cast and what do you know fish on. I fought it for a few min until I finally got it on the boat. It was a smallie around 3 pounds give or take I'm guessing which is the top picture. After a while of fishing the same spot we moved a little ways where we saw this huge tree that fell in the water. So we went there and on my 3rd cast which was a perfect one right next to the log and I let my spinner sink a few feet. Two reels FISH ON. It wasn't fighting very hard at first so I didn't think it was that big but when I got it to the boat then the fight was on and I noticed how big it was. I finally got it on the boat and it was a Largemouth Bass about 4-4.5 ponds give or take I'm guessing cause no scale. Biggest bas I ever caught. Which is the second pic. Pretty good day for fishing in 95 degree weather.
Both were safely released. I don't think bass taste very good anyways.
