Hit up good ole' Buck Lk. this evening with Shawn. We got on the water at 5:30 and fished tell dark thirty. The water was around 73 degress and the weather was ideal for a little bassn. Shawn flyed sinking line with a leech pattern around for awhile and missed a nice fish. Then he turned over to the dark side and tried for some bucketmouth. He ended up landing one and missing a couple more. The fish were either hitting a creature bait or a senko.
I started the night out by tagging the big fish of the day on a T-Rigged Brushhog in Watermelon. She weighed 3.2lbs on the digi and was released. The Brushhog was the ticket this evening. I ended the night with 5 Largies and missed 2. One had some weight behind it but I was talking on the phone when she took off and had a bad hook set. I'll be back to pick her up later. All the bass were up against the shoreline vegetation and in the pads. 3 of the 5 came on the Brushhog and the other 2 short bit the Hog and I cleaned them up with a D-Shot Zoom lizard.
Also, ran into a very nice gentlemen on the water who had a sweet pontoon set-up. He ended up catching 2 stockers on PB. Hope you find your way on here and enjoy what WashingtonLakes has to offer. Enjoyed the conversation.
The wind picked up later on in the evening and that's when the bite seemed to turn off. All in all a nice time on the water and the only reason this is not a 5 rating report is because I didn't catch one over 5lbs.
See ya on the water.
