As usual, headed to Echo Lake after dinner. Lot of cars there but managed to find a space. Got to sit on my usual bench, the one right after the little beach. Little breezy but still good enough to fish. Using pink poweregg with chartreuse powerbait and about a 3 1/2 foot leader. Threw it out about 1 - 2 O clock from the bench,at 12 O clock I seem to always snag up, but lately I have been getting hits there. about 10 min. later I noticed my line got slack, figuring it was the wind I reeled some line in when it hit very hard. Played for about 5 min. and brought in a 12-13 inch fat trout.. I feel fortunate to be always able to fish here, miss the guys at Ballinger though but it's so very mellow here. Not having to worry about the swimmers or finding a parking space. You could always park south of the lot on the westside though. I gave it 3 stars because of the serenity of being outdoors and able to sit back and relax

Sorry for this late comment, how was Haller? Have never fished there but have actually stopped by to check out the lake. Someone mentioned that they built some sort structure or cleared out the area around 125th and Meridian, what did you see? Looks like a great place for bass though. Seems a little odd that they would plant 1500 or so trout there when there isn't much access for the general public to fish. Anyways if and when I get a float tube ( with your ) help on type, I might try other areas of certain lakes. Need to take my raft out but it is kind of a pain unless I make it worth my while. Will eventually hook up,later
