This report is actually for the 2nd of August. The wife wanted to try Fan lake even though lot's of reports of no one catching any fish. We headed out to the island on the northeast part of the island and decided to anchor to it. I decided to get off and fish from the island while my wife fished for trout in the boat. I landed about 7-8 largemouth off the point all within an hour, nothing bigger than 1 1/2 lbs, lots of fun to catch and hard fighters, all were released unharmed. Caught them all on plastic worm. There is bass in Fan lake!

Great report! The best fisherman/woman can always get some in the boat! I wish I were him!

Nice dark green fish. Fan lake above eloika lake? never been there, not sure how to get there even. Only hitting on the sinkos huh> Did the wife have any luck with the trouts? Looks like a very pretty peacefull lake to me. Nice report. What time of day and did you try any top waters. Just cerious. Thanks.

Bassdude, yes fan lake is above eloika, 5mph lake no gas motors! Best way to get there is go north on hwy 2 till you get to nickleson, turn left and drive on nickleson and you'll run right into it, part of the road is dirt. The wife didn't have any luck with the rainbows but we saw a few trollers that did. I don't use sinko's anymore, I found a plastic worm that is more effective (and cheaper) and no I didn't try any top waters or cranks.
