The day was clear and about 70 degrees with a surface temp of a bout 63-65 degrees, just at or about 11:00AM I had just launched my two seater made by colman heading east casting a Gary Yamamoto 5" 176 DT HULA Grub toward some laydowns in about 2 feet of water and all of a sudden, I feel a bump, bump on my pole, and I say "hit it one more time", I feel the pole go "Bump" then I rare back on the pole to set the hook and the fight is on. I'm about 15 yards away from a nice size wake coming up from what looks like a laydown. Next thing you know, there's a rush of water turning towards me, so I like the tip of my pole to discover that it was a nice fish on the end of my rod, so I yell to my partner (Reggie), Get the net!
This looks like a nice fish. It took us about a minute to land the Lunker that measured 21 1/2 inches and weighed at 6 lbs. That was the only fish caught that day, but it was sure worth the trip!
