I took two buddies out fishing we hit the water from Jerry's at about 8am and got right to fishing the eastside of the lake. My friend hit a small bass right out the gate with a spinbait with a bright orange squid added. We moved north to the island and and we did not hit anything. Moved to the eastside again just north of Jerry's and we landed a very large crappie on a brown creature bait on a 1/6th oz jighead, we also caught another bass. finally we headed to the south west side and just drifted along to the north, we put the anchor out to slow our drift and we all were fishing creatures. Lots of milfoil so we set them up just like a weedless but exposed the hook just a hair to attach a orange egg. We caught 3 bass and two perch. We would cast into the milfoil pockets and jig through the openings of the milfoil. As we would weave through the milfoil we would get our hits, they would hit hard and fast. I was set up on 6lb on a medium light rod and had plenty of action. Most of our fish were around a pound, the crappie was the biggest of the day but we did not scale or measure we were just out for catch and release.
