Hit Joy on this overcast day around 1:00. Left at 4:00. Bass are feisty right now. Fished just one lure all day as it seemed to work quite well. Casted in and around the docks in mostly shallow water due to the overcast day and cooler temperatures. Landed 5 in all, had 4 more to the boat and over anxiously yanked too soon on about 15 other strikes.
All small guys, had a few strong hits that I just missed the hook set on, but they are in here as well as a lot of logs. But the bonus is, the water is so clear that you can usually pick up a few extra lures that other people leave behind. I love living in the rich pacific northwest where people can afford to leave behind $5.00 a shot lures.
On a final note, the best hit of the day came at the end of course, I lost him about half way to the boat, reeling in to discover that the fish not only ripped my jig's body in half, he also broke my hook in half. That was pretty entertaining.
All fish were released unharmed, told to grow and stay away from people who intend to due them harm.
