Caught and released two beautiful Smallmouths in LW tonight. Both fish were approx. 3 lbs., nice and thick too. Excellent fight from both!

After fishing from 5-7 PM with Senkos, I switched to a countdown Rapala (rainbow), and yanked two beauties from under a dock in Kirkland area. I caught both fish within five minutes of one another, and then that was the last bite I had for the evening. Funny I fished the same area an hour earlier with no bites!

It was sure nice catching some nice fish, as the last two weeks I only had caught only a few dinks (SM), and a couple of perch! Maybe a couple of cloudy/ cooler days helps the bite!

Sorry gentlemen that I did not have pics; I fish solo, without a camera, but do have a cellphone.

I was fishing by myself, and was struggling with the 2 treble hooks on the rapala.-- My main concern was releasing the fish unharmed, and quickly!! I'm fishing for over 50 years, and have always tried to release my fish unharmed!

It is difficult to fish from shore by yourself, safely release, and take photos too -- But I will try to post photos the next time for any doubting Thomases out there!

Funny, I had a great evening fishing, and took two really nice fish, and just wanted to share the experience with some fellow fisherman.

I'm suprised to see the reaction by some forum members.
