went out to joy with my new zodiac, from the public access put my boat down looked into the water with my polaroids and saw a 3 lb largemouth swimming in checking me out. ducked down behind the boat and my pole was preloaded with a yum worm. before it hit the bottom, my line was spinning off the reel and i set the hook. BAM!! before i got the boat in 3 1/2 pounder in my possession. looked into the water again and saw a bigger fish checking out all the splashing and commotion. Same thing and Bam, 5 lb bass and not even in the water yet. in all finally got my boat in went to my spot and pulled back to back 3 smallies 3+ lbs and left in less than 1 hour. Best bass fishing in the county kept all 5 because I promised the wife and neighbors a fish fry. But I don't keep them all. nice and sunny and it was just the right place at the tight time I really didn't expect it to be sooo easy. will be coming back for sure, Zuluman.

Wow! Sounds like a good day, but did you keep all those fish? Not a big deal keeping bass, but better not get caught over your limit. FYI, you can retain 10 smallies, one over 14" the rest have to be under. You can keep five largies, only one larger than 17", the rest have to be under 12".

I just love looking thru my Polariods. The picture is so clear with them. I just get dizzy from all of the shaking. Sounds like a trip to Lake Joy is in my future!

Hey Jason,..I don't think you should "BAG" on the site for what an Angler decides to do with his or her catch,..if regs are followed then the decsion of what to do with thier catch is solely up "TO THEM,"..I C&R all Bass caught no matter what,.. but for you to down the site moderators and managers is not a good thing,..I'd keep those comments to myself,..as far as Zuluman goes,..it's his perogative as long as WDFW Regs are followed,..sorry had to be said!

Hold on there JasonB. I'm not sure where your getting this site to be a bunch of meat heads, but most of the bass heads on this site are C&R. There's a handful of these new guys coming on the site wanting to brag about their catch, but unfortunately they're breaking the rules. I don't think you should be pointing out the site managers about angling ethics, that's just plainly wrong man.

I have no problems in keeping bass, but definitely need to follow the rules. I also agree it doesn't make sense on keeping the older bass for table fare, they do accumulate contaminants for being so old. I also want to state if you don't take out some bass in a body of water, the lake can be over run with stunted skinny bass, I've seen it happen. Thus keeping small bass can be good for the lake and the risk of contaminants are much lower than taking larger ones.

Hopefully this calm things down, still is tragic about these bass being kept, I'm sure Zuluman will check the rules for now on, just wanted to keep the peace on this site.

thanks for the support guys. As always, Aaron and I support an anglers right to keep fish as allowed by WDFW. Catch and release is a personal decision and not one to be forced or harrassed on another angler. Members who insist on ignoring this and being rude to others would be best off fnding another website to visit.

BTW, wishing ill will on others for eating contaminated fish and expressing "Joy" at their demise defnately falls into the rude, harrassement category and has illicited the appropriate response.

Another thread comment deleted. Folks, using the @ sign to allow yourself to ue foul language on this site just isn't going to cut it. And again, CNR is a personal choice, stop the harrassment.
