Went after dinner around 1730 and decided to give it another shot. Pretty much bypass Ballinger due to the fact of the lack of parking and swimmers. I actually tried lures early on but switched to bottom fishing. As luck would have it as soon as I switched they're breaking the surface. Saw a nice one jump but I already committed myself to relax and try the bottom. It took awhile but a caught a nice fat 10" rainbow. It put up quite a fight and was worth the wait. He was lipped so it was easy to release him. Glad I came here, can not wait until fall/winter when they are a lot bigger. Great relaxing evening sitting on the bench.

I guess it's good being a diehard. It's such a short drive for me as is Ballinger, but it is so much more peaceful, wish they had a dock on the east side of the lake but that would bring swimmers, so I guess the balance is there. Anyways how have you been doing? Haven't seen any reports from you in awhile. I am eventually going to hook up with you after I get a floattube. Until next time
