Fished off the dock at the Nine Mile Launch with Pops. Started around 8pm. Nobody else around, and no boat traffic. This turned out to be one exciting evening of lights out fishing. We caught 13 smallmouth between the two of us. Non-stop action! The smallest fish broke the two pound mark, and the biggest, 4lbs. 13oz. went to Pops. We were slamming them on minnow hardbaits, then switched to poppers and prop baits for some exciting top water action. These fish are so much fun to catch. They have no quit to them. Premium, it doesn't get much better than that. Left at 9:30, not bad for an hour and a half from a dock. Think I convinced Pops to start taking the boat to Long. Long for summer time bass, and Roosevelt for winter trout. FISH ON!! Oh yeah, all bass were released to be caught another day.

Nice report man. smallies are a lot of fun. Fighters!
Any tips on how far from shore they were hittin the top waters? Or i guess me question is how deep where the waters? I have been fihing the end past tum tum pretty hard and not doing so good that way. I bet that launch is not so busy during the weekdays huH Usually boaters and jet skies there. Plus i think a $7 launch fee. O well

A lot of people are doing well between the Nine Mile Resort, and the public launch by the Little Spokane. They were in less than five feet of water, moving shallow to feed around dusk.
