fished this lake for the second time ever with some friends. fish morning to around 5pm, had a pretty tough day. manage to catch 8 dinks and a couple that was between 2-3lbs. i think we were doing something wrong because the bite was pretty tough and didn't catch any all morning starting catching them around 11. we found that the pattern were drop shotting deep docks. i thought this lake had lots of big small mouths, i think its nothing compare to whatcom lake. then again haven't fish much here. any advice we be nice. all in all had fun fishing with my bro and friend. I think Washington is a little slow right now. This last week has been a lot tougher the last few days compared to easy fishing I had last month in June.

I was working the shallows and under docks and taking a few nice fish on most evenings, but nothing the last week except some little guys.

I would guess with the water temperatures coming up the larger SM are in 8-15 feet of water now.

Try the docks along the eastside,..use Senkos and T-Rig some worms or creatures,..the docks are deep and the Smallies are there.

brown, are you talking about the eastside of mercer island or the east side of the lake itself?
