If you are looking for brookies, Twin Lakes on the Colville Indian Reservation is the place to fish. Not only is the north eastern lake very beautiful and full of other wildlife besides fish, it produces some nice sized, yellow and red spotted Brook Trout. We fished on the lower part of Twin Lakes, trolling a muddler minnow very slowly on 1 1/2 colors of leaded line. I caught a nice 15 inch Brookie and a 15 inch Rainbow. The other boats around us watched and turned green with envy. We saw numerous dear and beavers all around the lake, and the best sight of all was the numerous bald eagles playing in the wind above us and doing some fishing of thier own.
