Well, it was a great weekend out at Billy Clapp. little bit of wind, but otherwise nice and hot. Fished all over the lake from Friday morning through Sunday mid morning with limited success. Tried crawdads, jointed divers, frogs, creatures, sinkos, worms, wedding ring, buzzbaits etc and nothing worked consistently. Popped a bunch of tiny smallmouth and one nice trout The bass a very small and most areas are completely overrun with carp (aka:crap). Lots of fish in this lake, but had a tough time hooking up. tried both ends of the lake, worked shoreline on both sides, tried the inlets and coves. Tried the dam too. Been fishing this lake for a long time and it seems to be getting worse each year. Carp are eating everything in site. Better luck off going somewhere else next time I think.
