Weather was bright....a nice day except for the wind. Worked the whole north shore on both sides of the lake.
3 small trout was all we landed. Water temp was 62. No evidence of Hex hatch...no shucks, no surface feeding at all, small beetles and gnats were the only insects we could find in the sample netting.
We talked to the camp ground host.. a very nice guy and fly fisherman... who will be there all July.
He said he found a Hex in the camp ground but has not seen any hatches on the water yet.
It's gotta be soon though.
