FINALLY!!! My first keeper largemouth bass on LK WA. Now, don't get me wrong. Lk WA is great. There are plenty of smallmouth here and I've been catching lots of them, but obviously I have had no luck with largemouths, probably because I focus mostly on smallmouths, which have greater numbers.

But anyways, it was about 9:00pm and the girlfriend suggested fishing until sundown. I can never say no. This largemouth bit my 6" yellow / silver sparkle paddle tail worm. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning when I saw that it was a largemouth... and a decent sized one.

A few minutes later, a smallmouth fell for the same worm. It was just before dark, so the picture of the smallmouth isn't clear, but I think you can still tell it was a decent fish. I also attached a pic of a smallmouth caught a few days before near the same area.

Great times on the water. The smallmouth fishing has been good. It's wise to release them, especially at this time of year. I gave today a good rating because of my excitement for my 1st largemouth on LK WA.

Tight lines, all!
