Fished Lake Washington for the first time. Me and two others took the little boat out to McCurdy park just off montlake and the canal. Loading the boat, we saw a girl with her top off, so that was a plus :). We fished out and around the small islands, with no luck. We used senkos primarily, but also threw spinners occasionally. Changed course and went under 520 inside a little nook. While I was snagged up, my friend caught about a 3-4 pound largie, using a bright green senko. It moved through the pads left and right, but somehow we still got it in the boat. Didn't have my scale on me. I did get a picture, but I haven't uploaded it yet. That was the only fish though.
One thing, if you're gonna fish in this area, watch out for all the kayakers. They don't give a damn if you're fishing or not. Some didn't speak English, and after I repeatedly asked them to go around us, they just smiled and kept going, right where we were casting.
But the weather was nice, and we didn't all get skunked.
