Loomis Lake--My reports as of June26, 2008
I live on the lake so I fish it everyday. The last three weeks have been slow. Now that the weather is getting better the fishing has too. I fish the south end of the lake with worm and marshmallow. The last three days I've caught 7 fish (trout) all but 2 were over 10 inches. I fish from about 8:30pm to 9:15. No bass or perch biting yet. Don't be afraid of the weeds drop a line with some weight, give it a minute and then "Fish on". Late august is the best time to fish because you can use almost anything and something will bite it. Last year I caught trout, crappie, catfish, perch, and large mouth bass. So grab boat and a pole and catch some fish. Don't forget to wave!

That lake is a weed filled mess! I used to fish it as a kid decades ago and am sad to see how the weeds have completely taken over.

I fished loomis once a while back, was a rare day when the wind wasnt blowing 30mph, that lake has alot of nice bass!
