Arrived at the lake in the late afternoon. The water temperature was 73 degrees. A heavy thunderstorm postponed any water activity for about a half hour. After the storm pasted we fished for about 2 hours and caught several nice rainbows ranging from 12-14". Surprisingly, the storm with all the lightning, thunder and driving rain it did not effect the fish. The pattern that produced the most was a wine colored leech. Black also did well. The fish were very active and gave a good fight, usually breaking water several times. There wasn't much insect activity, only a few adult damsels.
