started with two buddies at 6:30 in the morning went to the left of the boat launch 30 yards out and hit a 3 pound rainbow almost instantly trolling perch pattern hotshot!!original floater f-5 rapala's worked well also along with some of my other secrets.fished the whole lake hitting fish constantly very healthy looking rainbows with a couple of holdovers reaching 14 or so inches.morton is a very well stocked lake.still fishing power bait is made for a sure catch with planters 8 too 12 inches.now that the water has gotten warmer they fight a lot better i use ultra light gear for a sure good time.unfortunately the boat launch is like combat fishing for salmon on the carbon with trucks illegally parked on the water edge with drunken bar-b-ques...
