We got to the lake around 3:00 p.m. We decided to fish off the dock at Silver Beach Resort until about 8:00. After about 10 minutes, the rain started pouring and a thunderstorm came. Luckily, the storm form miles away and the rain left after 5 minutes or so. The weather was pretty nice after that. My sister's friend dropped a jig between a couple of boats and caught a 9" crappie, I never remember crappie in the lake before that. Caught some nice perch around 10" or so, but other than that we caught some little sunfish and some bass that were less than 8". Right before we left I caught a little trout that was about 8". Mainly used jigs with worms, but sometimes just the worms, power bait, eggs, and successfully used a popper in shallow water for a bit. A nice fun day at the lake.
