Hit up Lake Washington at a secret spot around 8pm. Nailed this guy right off the bat and threw him back. Both pictures are the same fish. I was using a Blue Fox Rattlin' Pixee, a lure that has brought me a lot of luck with smallies. I caught another one after this one under a foot long.

Most of my efforts after that was geared towards a ~5 lbs largemouth that I saw 10 ft from shore, but I could not get it to hook. It would just bite once and then lose interest. I tried everything from nightcrawlers to roboworms. I was sight fishing it the whole time. I named it Frank and will be back for it soon. It didn't move anywhere so I'm thinking its nest is nearby.

After a while, I put a bobber on and had fun with small bluegill and a perch. Left around 9pm.

Yeah, worms. Make sure your hook is small enough otherwise they'll just nibble the worm right off. They are definitely biting and they always bite, no matter what time of day.
