I bought a house on Jim Creek rd just to be closer to Riley and Ebey lake. Riley is fantastic for trout or bass. I mainly fly fish with a 3wt and 4wt rod in an 8' pontoon boat trolling a 14' leader and strike indicator with a pheasant tail or striped hares ear. With my spin rod anything that moves as close to the shore any ware around the lake will catch average 8'' to 12'' bass or trout 12'' to 30''. This lake produces big trout and Kokanies and lots of bass. For the past 4 or so weeks we couldn't stay out of the holdovers (2.2 lb ish) if we tried. Flat fish, dick nites, power bait, super dupers, rapallas, various flys, just find the depth they re eating at and stay at that depth most of the time its either as deep as possible or on top. a set of down riggers could be deadly on this lake. lots of fun to be had on Riley
