They have stocked clear like several times already (and the total count is getting close to twenty thousand fish released), so I headed to this beautiful lake again. It was cold and windy... and did I mention cold? I estimate the wind was blowing a consistent 25-30 mph, with gusts around 40 mph (at it's peak). Add that, to the already 50 ish degree day, and I ended up shivering. However, the fish didn't care about the weather. I could not even get my sinker to settle on the bottom on each cast, before getting a bite. Needless to say, I limited out (five fish) in about an hour, and went back to Yakima for some warmth. Despite my complaining, it really was a fun time. I saw one boat braving the white caps, and one other series of fisherman fishing the bank (which only lasted about a half hour before they took off). I fished by the spillway on the North end using pink power eggs. The bite is hot on this lake right now.
