Fished the lake today (Thursday). Was down at the south end from 7:00 to 11:00 - on my friend Brian Lull's boat. Did a little fishing - caught 3 cutts - 2 nice fish & one shaker. All were released. Spent most the time with Brian showing me around the area - which I really appreciate! Brian's leaving in 10 days to go up to Alaska to guide for a month - so thanks again Brian, for taking the time & showing me around!

After that, I headed home to get my own boat. I was back on the water & fishing again by 2:00, & quit at 6:30. I caught 3 cutts - released one, lost one & kept one. Was fishing around the 520 bridge, down between 20' & 40'.

Cheers!

Good going CLK. I had Brian on my boat 2 weeks ago and we nailed 9 fish. I usuually don't bring my camera on board, but Brian posted one of the fish on Salmon University. If you'd like a partner sometimes have Brian give you my number. Jon Calvo (Slimy Slab)
I enjoy fishing around the south end of LW. I have caught mature Sockeye as early as April. Also, every once and a while you will hook really big Rainbows.
I'm good for 2 more weeks and then I put my boat down into Shilshole for the summer. Let's fish sometimes- JC aka Slimy Slab

Hey SlimySlab (Jon),

Now that you've mentioned your name - we've met before - at Outdoor Emporium. We talked about Lk Wash & I mentioned fishing w/Brian (Also, I think you might have recognized me, from a picture on Salmon University) - you were kind enough to offer to take me out that day, to go fighing, but I had to run because I was having my new boat rigged at that time. I saw your pic, plus Brian emailed it to me before it hit the web, also the details of your great day of fishing together. You & I talked about doing some salmon fishing together - Brian say's you're one of the last great salmon moochers around. If the above doesn't ring a bell, I think Brian might have mentioned my name to you - Chris.

We'll definately get together - even after your boat goes to Shilshole - I'm moored in Portage Bay. Let's fish the lake & sound together.

Cheers!

Of course I remeber you Chris. I saw a large Boston Whaler in the lakw last week or so, but it looked about 28ft. Are you fishing the trout derby the 14th. I have room if you want to fish with me. Then I start Puyget Sound. I have fished Shilshole area, Pt Monroe, Jeff Head Kingston No Point, oil Docks for over 30 years now. Let's meet for coffee soon and chat. Jon 425 445 1909

Hey SlimySlab - dropped you a line. Not sure about the Trout Derby - those things always seemd to be won, by 9yr old girls, using PowerBait/worms & a bobber. I don't think I'd stand a chance against them. You watch - a 45lb girl, will haul in a 9lb cutt. It'll be in all the papers!

Talk w/ you later.

Cheers!
