Chapter 57 Musky Tourney...First one of the year..AWESOME lake. You gotta get up there. Well worth the trip. Even more AWESOME..Jack N' Sandy Beck...and Janice too! Check them out!!
The lake is outstanding!! Loaded with Tigers!! Can't really even count how many we saw. Or how many were seen by all the participants.
Started out at 6 am sharp...didn't see a fish till about 8:30. Then it was just crazy. Like I said we (kevinb and me) had one solid follow of a low 40 inch range fish all the way from the shoreline to the boat. Then it was fish everywhere. All were not in the striking mood. We saw fish from 20" to one 45" tanker..
Finally, around 10:30 got this 34" fighter jet to just tag my buck. Shot off like a bone fish. Jumped twice and kevinb my netman scooped in the first fish of the day.
There are fish everywhere in this lake...There are a ton of pikie minnows in here too. From what Jack said it was a lot worse BEFORE the Tigers. I caught one just to say I did..let it go...thats all I'm sayin about that. Jack and Sandy really pushed for the Tigers and I am glad they did. The trout fishing is outstanding now because of them and the Tigers.
Well, get up to Curlew and find out for yourselves. Stay and fish!! You'll be glad you did!!
You guys on the Eastside have one hell of a lake out there...take care of it.
Oh yeah met Muskie Guy and Phil Cogley two phenomenal gents that made out to the Tourney all the way from Spokane. Two class guys...In fact all the ladies and gents in this group are just outstanding. For all those on the fence.... Come on over and join the Chapter. You'll be glad you did!!
****Remember 50 inch limit, let em' go so they can grow****
