My buddy and I got to Clear lake today at about 2 P.M. Never been here before, but I wanted to get into some smallie action. It is a very nice lake and of course very clear. Water temperature was 58. Caught allot of smallies today but none over 1.5 lbs. We both limited out on trout as well. I think most of the osprey were over their daily limit of trout too. Saw some bass on beds but the majority of the beds were empty. I don't think they have spawned on this lake yet! Wind kicked up to about 10-15 around 4pm-7pm then died off. I had success with a red rattletrap, senko's, jigs, and yammamoto's flippin' hawgs. Would have like to of seen some bigger smallmouth but considering we were fishing a coldfront we had a good day. Definitely will go back soon. All bass were released and a few trout were taken for the dinner table. I broke my personal record for smallest smallmouth. I would post the picture but it's too small to see. We ended up leaving at 9 P.M. Tight lines everyone.
