As mentioned by the date, have fished Bayley many times this year, '00. Last fished it the last weekend of August '00. Water was very low at that time and is now too low to even get in, trust me.
Was a very good year at Bayley though. Fish to 18/19 to the belly boats.... many. And a number of rippers of 20+ that broke us off.
But the real charm of Bayley are the eagles and osprey that fish with you.... something caught my eye and looked over toward my partner, 20 feet behind her was a bald eagle, hovering 10 feet above the water. As I gapped in awe he gently dropped down and plucked a fish, then off to eat..... oh my. Had a baldy fly 20 feet over me to inspect my catch I was trying to release, only fish I killed at Bayley this year, but was for a good cause as he came to take the fish away from 30 feet off our port side. A beautiful place that I hope stays that way.
Bayley has it's problems, i.e., it leaks... hope they figure it out. And hopefully those that read this treat it gently if they plan a visit. Good luck and tight lines.......! ~P~
