I fished Devereaux for the first time today. I was only on the water for half an hour (from 8:30-9:00 pm) because I missed the turn onto WA-3 and didn't realize it until I hit McCleary (set me back almost an hour), and I forgot my pole at home so I had to drive up to Bremerton to buy a cheap one (set me back another hour). Luckily for me the fishing was dead out there today so I didn't miss much. I pitched a black rooster tail from my float tube with no luck. I talked to three other groups of people who got skunked, and they were on the lake for even more than half an hour! However, Devereaux is such a beautiful lake it was a trip well worth it.
