Took my mom out to Leland in my Bass Tracker for a couple hours of fishing Sunday afternoon. The weather was nice and there were several others in kayaks, canoes, and jonboats on thelake. The lake looked great, but the fish weren't biting. I saw a couple fish up against the bank (you could see their tails and back out of the water periodically), very shallow and it appeared they were making a nest or getting ready to spawn. The water temp was almost 70F. I'll probably be back in a couple weeks to try again. This lake is nice and isolated and you don't have to deal with jetskis and water skiers, even if the fish are a little more finicky sometimes.
