This was my first trip to this lake and what a beautiful lake! Got on the water about 1:30pm rowing my pontoon and trolled with wooley bugger 100' back. Started with beaded black, then beaded olive, switched to unbeaded, and went black, olive, brown, purple, and back to black. After 3 hours and not even a little nibble I decided to my one more round then go home. Still having black tied on and almost falling asleep, this fish hit my fly so hard I could swear it jerked my boat backwards! What a nice fight from a very beautiful colored RB. It turned out to be my personal best @ 19 1/2" and 3lbs 13oz. After that I woke up and decided to fish a bit longer. A few bumps and another hook-up with another large fish but didn't land. Got it close enough to see it was big before it spit the fly.
A lot of fish rising to surface. Beautiful lake and a very tough fishery but what I caught and what I saw from a few other boats tells me that putting in some time at this lake and learning about it will produce some nice fish.
