Hit Deer yesterday morning for a couple of hours and limited on rainbows. First thing I did was fished the inlet at the north end of the narrows, I casted as I cruised up the mouth as far as I could with a black roostertial. First fish about half way up the mouth as far as you can go a 16'' bow then after reaching the fence I trolled my roostertail catching a 19'' bow then a 21'' bow went back again with no avail. Then went back out in the main body of water to troll on my way back to the launch catching two planters. This spot in the inlet has always been a productive early season carryover fish spot and soon the heat will make it a great largemouth spot. If you try the inlet mouth as you look north up the fields you will see an old farmhouse way up the on the side of the hill that is where I grew up part of my teenage years. This has so far been a productive year fro me.
