We went to Tanwax Lake yesterday and caught 7 trout but my neighbor went for a couple hours in the evening to Clear Lake and they brought 10 home. Adam had wanted to go to Clear but because we were running late, I said no. Today we went to Clear Lake. Temp was 58 in the water and over 100 in my open tackle box. We started trolling our spinners but nothing was happening so I switched to a black fly on 2 lb. leader hooked to the swivel on my mainline. I started catching trout. After awhile Adam put a black fly on also then he was catching. We caught quite a few. Then we stopped on the Meridian end in about 20 feet of water and I fished with nightcrawlers to get our keepers. Adam was using a Zak tackle worm spinner. The fish we caught were on the edges of the lake where the bottom goes out of sight. We were out from 9:30am-1:30pm. It was a nice hot day to be fishing and catching.
