i took my daughter, son-in-law,and grand daughter here for a four day mother's day weekend. the weather was fairly warm, with some rain one day, but all in all really pleasant. we had a motel unit at liars cove and it was great with a view of the lake from the balcony. the folks there are really nice. we rented a boat for a few days and the fishing action was pretty non stop for the most part. my daughter and grand kid had a blast catching a bucketful of trout under 13". my grand daughter caught her 1st fish here. it was 16" and about a pound and a half. that was the largest fish of the trip. we also did some driving around the area observing the wildlife and got some great shots of deer. lots of wildlife. for me and bubba, it wasn't a real productive fishing trip, but as a family quality get-away, it was excellent. i plan on doing it again next year when the summer rolls around. ho yeah. it really didn't much matter what color bait you used, they seemed to hit on anything, but a wedding ring set-up seemed to work well for me.
